US Citizenship and Immigration Services officers can now create fictitious social media accounts to monitor social media information on foreigners seeking visas, green cards and citizenship.

US could use fake social media accounts to monitors potential visa, green card seekers

A Facebook panel is seen during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, in Cannes, France. Reuters

An updated Homeland Security Department review of potential privacy issues dated July 2019 that was posted online on Friday essentially reversed a prior ban on officers creating fake profiles.

A USCIS statement explaining the change says fake accounts and identities will make it easier for investigators to search for potential evidence of fraud or security concerns as they decide whether to allow someone entry into the US.

The change in policy was preceded by other steps taken by the State Department, which began requiring applicants for US visas to submit their social media usernames this past June, a vast expansion of the Trump administration’s enhanced screening of potential immigrants and visitors.

It’s unclear exactly how the creation of fake social media accounts would work given policies of platforms like Facebook and Twitter, which both specifically state that impersonation — pretending to be someone other than yourself — violates their terms of use.

Twitter and Facebook recently shut down numerous accounts believed to be operated by the Chinese government using their platforms under false identities for information operations.

“It is against our policies to use fake personae and to use Twitter data for persistent surveillance of individuals. We look forward to understanding USCIS’s proposed practices to determine whether they are consistent with our terms of service,” according to a Twitter statement. Facebook did not immediately provide comment.

Such a review of social media would be conducted by officers in the agency’s Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate on cases flagged as requiring more investigation. The privacy assessment notes that officers can only review publicly available social media available to all users on the platform — they cannot “friend” or “follow” an individual — and must undergo annual training.

The officers are also not allowed to interact with users on the social media sites and can only passively review information, according to the DHS document.

While lots of social media activity can be viewed without an account, many platforms limit access without one.

Dave Maass, senior investigative researcher for the civil liberties advocacy group Electronic Frontier Foundation, said such use of fake accounts “undermines our trust in social media companies and our ability to communicate and organize and stay in touch with people.”

He added: “It can’t be this double standard where police can do it, but members of the general public can’t.”

Mike German, a retired FBI agent and a fellow in the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security program said it’s important for strong guidelines to be in place and for lawmakers to ask lots of questions to ensure there are no abuses.

“It’s easy to conjure up a use where the use is appropriate and entirely necessary, but also where it could be abused,” German said. “It should only be used in cases where absolutely necessary.”

In January 2017, former Homeland Security Department Secretary Jeh Johnson issued a privacy impact update giving authority to USCIS to “conduct law enforcement activities including but not limited to accessing internet and publicly available social media content using a fictitious account or identity.”

But a privacy impact assessment was required to be completed first.

Reached by phone on Friday, Johnson declined to comment.

Bipartisan support for additional background checks involving social media was initially spurred by the fallout of the 2015 San Bernardino attack, which resulted in 14 people’s deaths.

In that case, the shooter Syed Rizwan Farook’s wife Tashfeen Malik gained entry to the US on a fiancée visa — a process that did not involve a social media check.

The day after the attack, Facebook found a post on a page maintained by Malik pledging her and Farook’s allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State group. The page was under an alias. Authorities have said Malik and Farook exchanged messages about jihad and martyrdom online before they were married and while she was living in Pakistan.

The two ultimately died in a gun battle with police.

There have been leaks flying about the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro smartphones and rumour has it that the devices are going to be unveiled in India before the global markets. The most recent leaks are about the OnePlus 7T Pro and what the device is expected to come with.

OnePlus 7T Pro could come with Snapdragon 855 Plus, Android 10 out-of-the-box

OnePlus 7 Pro.

Reputed tipster Ishan Agarwal, who has earlier been right about OnePlus leaks, has said that the 7T Pro will look exactly like the 7 Pro in terms of design and screen. However, the device will be packing in a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset instead of the Snapdragon 855. The device is also said to come with Android 10 out-of-the-box.

The phone is also said to come with the Warp Charge 30T which could charge the device from 0-50 percent in about 20 minutes while a full charge from zero percent will take 65 minutes. Apart from that, the 7T Pro is said to have the same camera layout as the OnePlus 7 Pro however the device is going to come with Macro Mode, HEVC, and Hybrid Image Stabilisation.

Ishan Agarwal has previously tweeted out that OnePlus 7T (not the 7T Pro, mind you) will be coming with a 90 Hz refresh rate display with QHD+ resolution. We’ll have to see how the leaks pan out when the devices are launched which is rumoured to be on 26 September.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is a prolific tweeter, but just an hour ago, his account was seeing a lot of activity. Most of the tweets were single line tweets with some of the tweets having blatantly racist language. It seemed far from drunk tweeting.

Yes, Twitter CEO’s Twitter account was hacked for a while. Dorsey has around 4.2 million followers.

Twitter’s communications team confirmed that Dorsey’s account was indeed compromised and they were investigating the matter.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey falls prey to SIM swap fraud, hackers gain account access for 20 min

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Image: Reuters

A group going by the name Chuckle Squad was tweeting anti-Semitic and racist tweets, retweeting accounts and even asking for some handles to be unsuspended. The tweets were live for a good 20 mins (even more) before the Twitter security team got into action.

The tweetstorm from the hacker began with a tweet which had a link to a Discord chat group. According to Buzzfeed, Discord took down the server which was hosting these chats.

According to The Verge, the attackers seem to be the same group that recently attacked many YouTubers and influencers on Twitter. Some influencers who were attacked, claimed that their accounts were breached after a SIM swap that was done by AT&T.

Twitter keeps talking about the measures it is taking to contain abuse and hate on the platform. But it was rather ironic to see the platform’s CEO’s handle itself tweeting racist and anti-Semitic tweets. While things are under control now, it is certainly a huge embarrassment for Twitter. I mean, if the Twitter CEO himself can be hacked, that puts a big question mark on the company’s security practices. The matter is still under investigation, and Twitter should put out an official statement of what exactly went down, as tomorrow it could be anyone’s account.

Update 1: As expected, it appears that Dorsey was a victim of SIM swap fraud. Twitter has confirmed that a phone number associated with the account was compromised “due to a security oversight by a mobile provider.” Twitter itself wasn’t hacked and no data was stolen. The hacker sent tweets via SMS.

The story is developing. We will update the story as the updates come through.

Avast Secure Browser is fast growing an esteemed reputation. Built by security experts, this product sets out to excel in three vital areas; privacy, protection and performance.

It’s fair to say Avast Secure Browser delivers on all three pledges. We here at FileHippo have had a play around with it, examining all its exciting features, to find that out for ourselves.

The browser’s architects describe it as ‘your passport to the web’, no less. It was created as they felt it was time to stop the internet, and your browsing, being exposed and vulnerable.

“As experienced engineers of consumer security products, Avast strives to secure every aspect of the users’ digital life,” Avast say, in a frank summary of the product.

[embedded content]

“Since most of us spend an increasing portion of those lives online, we’ve focused on transforming the power of our world-leading software expertise into a simple, secure, all-in-one browser.”

Has Avast delivered on these big promises? We think so, and in this review we will explain why. It will also give you the full run-down and tutorial of the browser’s key features.

The main point to stress is the common theme that you’ll notice as we assess the three Ps. That’s the great usability and friendly interface offered by Avast. Early praise must go to its dedicated Security and Privacy Center, it keeps users protected, informed and secure online.

Simply put, this is what makes Avast Secure Browser unique. Here you will be able to easily control settings and features that not only ensure privacy, protection and performance – but also make cybersecurity an enjoyable experience too.

“Friendly and simple, it allows new and experienced users alike to easily find and control security settings,” add Avast. “In short: we make the complex simple and let the user make the browser their own.”

Privacy

So, lets get started, and where better to kick-off our review than by looking at the browser’s privacy features directly? Avast understand that staying private while browsing online is ‘almost impossible’ these days. Nonetheless some impressive features have been installed to keep your digital life under wraps.

Firstly, Avast breaks the mould of other browsers by having most privacy features switched on by default. It also makes it clear to users where these can be found and adjusted. Meanwhile scripts following your online activity are automatically blocked, thanks to Avast’s Anti-Tracking feature.

Stealth Mode makes sure that tracking cookies or web caches picked up while browsing are chucked, browsing history is also not saved. This handy tool can be accessed from the top of the browser and can also activate Anti-Phishing, Anti-Tracking and HTTPS Encryption tools.

Moreover, Avast’s Anti-Fingerprinting tool halts sites from using a unique browser profile to identify a user. This means lots of information like add-ons, browser version and language settings can be kept private. However, by default this feature is switched off, as it could ‘break’ some websites.

240119 avast secure browser review stealth mode

Privacy Cleaner also steps in to keep activity hidden, while also cleaning up disk space. It does this by carrying out a swift tidy up of cookies, cached images and browser history – as well as other rubbish that doesn’t have to be there!

Overall, with Avast Secure Browser your identity and digital footprint will always be concealed. The product’s built-in privacy features will mean that no one can track you. Your posts, emails, searching and browsing history are yours, and yours only.

Protection

Avast understand that our browsers are ‘more vulnerable than ever before’. That’s why their Secure Browser is jam-packed with standout features and tools to make sure you can be as protected as possible.

It uses the most up-to-date version of Chromium. This means a ‘strong, secure and trusted’ platform is guaranteed. Avast Secure Browser also has everything users need to enhance security built-in from the get-go. Other browsers usually reply on third-party extensions, but not Avast’s product!

As we’re all aware, growing interest in cryptocurrencies and attacks on personal banking accounts are a by-product of the digital age. It’s scary stuff, and Avast has brought in a string of features to directly defend against this type of cybercrime.

Anti-Tracking tech will thwart third-party scripts and keep browsing habits private. This means your CPU will be safe, and your performance will also be enhanced. Bank Mode is available too, protecting users from password hackers, crypto-hijacking and malicious keypad logs. Dangerous and unsafe browser extensions are also stopped, thanks to Extension Guard capabilities.

If that wasn’t enough, Flash Protect is another big plus. As well as hogging computer resources and killing battery life, Flash opens devices up to several security vulnerabilities. With Flash content also becoming practically extinct, thanks to the rise of HTML5 alternatives, Avast have decided to bring in this feature. Don’t worry, this can similarly be adjusted from the central hub.

Overall, Avast Secure Browser provides all the features needed to prevent identity theft, malware and phishing scams. It can block malicious websites and downloads, preventing your PC getting infected by spyware, ransomware and viruses. Meanwhile it also includes a safe and secure password manager. Complete protection.

Performance

You would think that having come up trumps on privacy and protection features, the security experts would be pretty content with their package. Yet, Avast didn’t stop there!

Thanks to the automatic blocking of adverts there is less to load, which means everything gets sped up! Avast’s Adblock can be switched on and off with the click of a button at the Security and Privacy Center.

24012019 avast secure browser home screen screenshot

Meanwhile, Avast Secure Browser has received a lot of compliments on its user interface. The straightforward and effective Security and Privacy Center keeps you fully informed, while also not being too evasive.

Increased clarity, transparency and ease of use is apparent thanks to the clutter-free UI. Avast say this reduces the friction usually caused by prolonged use. As we said before, the browser is built on Chromium, the most secure and fastest platform out there – so that helps too!

Additional perks, like the Video Downloader feature, are available as well. This tool allows the downloading of all sorts of media and supports popular sites like DailyMotion and Vimeo.

Overall, the architects at Avast could have easily rested on their laurels after creating a browser rich in privacy and protection features – but they went further. Because of the modifications made and the blocking of ads you get a very seamless experience. Everything is carried out in one place too, which allows ease of access without completely baffling you with decisions.

Final thoughts

We all know that there is an embarrassment of riches out there when it comes to browsers these days. Though Avast has passionately defended the birth of ‘another browser’ when describing the product – and we think they have every right to do so.

Its creators say that we need a browser that is built with our ‘best interest in mind’. They promised that it would not follow the user each time that they clicked a link, used a search engine or bought something online. Again, it seems they’ve made good on this promise.

[embedded content]

Avast Secure Browser combines all the necessary security and privacy tools and stores them together in one familiar and friendly place. All the features and hacks homed within the Security and Privacy Center play a vital role in your browsing experience and safety.

You can manage Avast Antivirus and Avast SecureLine VPN, as well as other features like Privacy Cleaner and HTTPS Encryption from this handy hub. Yet, as if that wasn’t enough, Avast has also included other top features like its Video Downloader – complementing the experience, not just the practicality.

The bottom line? Not content with just delivering ‘the world’s leading antivirus’, Avast now claim to have created a ‘dream browser’. The experts pledge to go further than any other browser in terms of privacy, speed and security. They’re on their way to doing that.

Overall, as well as its far-reaching features and the fact it essentially allows you, the user, to be in control – it is also incredibly straightforward to use. A warm and friendly interface, coupled with handy tips and tutorials, makes Avast Secure Browser not only a safe experience, but an enjoyable one too.

Nubia Red Magic 3 Specs

The inaugural flight of India’s Gaganyaan mission is unlikely to have any woman astronaut because ISRO is looking at test pilots from the armed forces and none of them have any women in that post, a senior official from the space agency said on Wednesday. Though women appear to be ruled out for the moment, civilians, including women, will be part of future manned missions, the official added.

The Indian Space Research Organisation has begun the process of short-listing probable candidates for its first manned mission and it should be completed by next month, he said.

Short-listed candidates will be sent to Russia for training after November. The first Gaganyaan flight scheduled for 2022 will carry three astronauts, who will be picked from among the test pilots in the armed forces.

“Most maiden missions undertaken by different countries in the past had test pilots. So we are sticking to that for our maiden mission. We are also looking at test pilots from the armed forces which don”t have woman as test pilots,” the official said. “The civilians will be part of the project in future missions,” he added.

Women astronauts likely wont be part of Gaganyaan inaugural flight in 2022

Kailasavadivoo Sivan, Chairperson of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), arrives to attend a news conference at its headquarters in Bengaluru, India. Image: Reuters.

India has signed agreements with Russia and France for cooperation on the Gaganyaan mission. Last month, the Cabinet approved setting up a ISRO Technical Liaison Unit in Moscow for smoother cooperation, mainly for the Gaganyaan project. India’s first man in space Rakesh Sharma, who flew aboard the Soyuz T-11, launched on 2 April 1984, was an Indian Air Force pilot. The ambitious Gaganyaan mission was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Independence Day speech in 2018.

“We have resolved that by 2022, when India celebrates 75 years of Independence or maybe even before that, certainly some of our young boys and girls will unfurl the tricolour in space. I feel proud to announce that very soon as part of our ‘Manned Space’ mission, we shall be sending an Indian into space. This will be done through the pursuit of our scientists, and we will proudly find ourselves as the fourth such nation to have launched a successful Manned Space Mission,” PM Modi had said from the Red Fort.

The total fund requirement for the Gaganyaan Programme is nearly Rs. 10,000 crore and includes cost of technology development, flight hardware realisation and essential infrastructure elements.

While the Oppo Reno 2Z is powered by a MediaTek P90, the Reno 2F features the MediaTek P70. Additionally, both phones feature 8 GB of RAM but the Reno 2Z offers 256 GB storage and the Reno 2F offers 128 GB storage. However, the difference here is the sensor used for the primary camera and the video modes in the camera. The Reno 2Z’s camera uses a Sony IMX 586 sensor and offers an Ultra Dark mode and an Ultra Steady Video mode, whereas Reno 2F uses Samsung’s GM1 sensor and sports the Ultra Mode 2,0. Nokia 2.2 Arrives With 5MP Selfie Camera And Removable Battery

  • The Nokia 2.2 with Android One is now available in the U.S. for just $139.
  • It offers a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-shaped notch and a single 13MP shooter at the rear.
  • Part of the Android One program, Nokia 2.2 is guaranteed to receive two major OS updates and security updates for up to three years.
Nokia’s budget 2.2 model announced in June for international markets is now finally available to buy for consumers in the US. It ships with Android One (based on 9.0 Pie) out of the box that ensures the latest OS updates for two years and security patches for three years. The Nokia 2.2 will receive OS updates (Android Q) for two years and security updates for three.

The 2.2 has a 5.71-inch notched display with HD+ (720p) resolution. Within the notch is a 5MP selfie camera with a 13MP main shooter around back. Nokia claims the camera can shoot great low-light shots thanks to HDR and selfies offer beautification features.

The phone brings Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761)  which is comparable to the Snapdragon 425 but more efficient thanks to its 12nm process. There are 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of onboard storage, expandable via a microSD card.

At first glance there isn’t much interesting about the Nokia 2.2 compared to other phones in its sub-140 USD price range: 5.71-inch 720p LCD display, plastic chassis, MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, and micro-USB charging port. There’s one nice detail that’s just come out courtesy of Ars Technica, however: its 3000 mAh battery will be user-replacable.

There is no fingerprint scanner on the 2.2, but the handset does offer 2D face-unlock and even supports NFC for mobile payments and file sharing.

If you are interested in a budget Android One phone with a removable battery and decent looks, the Nokia 2.2 is available via BestBuy and Amazon.com in the US as of today.

Searching for a way to get quick, easy and secure access to your system and files no matter where you are in the world? We may have your answer… TeamViewer 14!

When TeamViewer 14 was launched it was described as the new standard for remote control and support. It’s very difficult to disagree with this assessment.

In this article we are going to look at three areas in particular that TeamViewer 14 specialises in. Its ability to provide remote device control, cross-platform access and user/device configuration management will be described and assessed.

But, first thing first, what is TeamViewer? Put simply, it is a proprietary software for desktop sharing and remote control. It can facilitate web conferencing, online meetings and file transfers between computers.

Its wide range of features, which will be explored in this article, mean users can deal with on-site issues no matter where in the world they are. In this day and age, we demand this, but TeamViewer 14 lives up to these desires and even goes further.

So, who might use TeamViewer 14 and why? Well, there are currently around 200 million active users, over 1.9 billion connected devices and approximately 40 million sessions daily. That’s quite a vote of confidence!

It’s great for IT admins, IT supporters and companies in general that need remote control and remote support for their team or customers. Whether they’re carrying out routine processes or reacting to an emergency, these people need speed on their side. TeamViewer 14’s impressive time-saving features come to the rescue here.

Moreover, TeamViewer 14’s augmented reality and many other customer-focused features, mean remote workers can solve support queries and provide customer satisfaction swiftly and effectively. For companies, security being a TeamViewer top priority is another reason to download today.

Brilliantly, TeamViewer 14 is free for personal use! As it comes with such a wide range of features and perks, that’s pretty outstanding. Meanwhile, if you want to use the software for commercial use, you’ll need a commercial license. More information about commercial use terms can be read here.

Remote Device Control

So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at TeamViewer 14. It certainly comes with a strong reputation, trusted by the likes of Microsoft, Philips and TomTom, but does it live up to the billing?

Above all, TeamViewer 14 is celebrated for providing remote device control. So, any user can access their devices remotely from another computer or mobile. This is particularly helpful for those wanting to work from home or those hoping to make business trips more efficient.

Of course, we all know work emergencies happen, whether it be systems going down or legal issues coming up. IT emergencies don’t care if it’s the weekend – TeamViewer allows you to respond right away.

Essentially, you can stay productive wherever you are. No matter where in the world life takes you, your desktop files and applications are only a few clicks away.

Not only is this done quickly and easily, it is also done securely. You don’t have to worry about any network security restrictions getting in the way, or a slow VPN, either!

TeamViewer1

TeamViewer creators understand working remotely with a VPN on public Wi-Fi – whether it be at a hotel, airport or café – is far from ideal. That’s why TeamViewer 14 provides a “simple, affordable and secure” VPN alternative.

The team have engineered a solution with cloud-based network compression and end-to-end encryption with 256-bit RSA keys. The security cannot be emphasised enough! So, say goodbye to VPNs and work productively anywhere you want.

Cross-Platform Access

TeamViewer works exceptionally well across platforms. Basically, you can use it to access any device from any device.

The ability to do this really is far reaching. For example, you can access Linux systems without a GUI or monitor.

So, you’re only ever a few clicks away from your work computer! No matter where you are or what time of day it is, cross-platform access allows you to reach your network files and resolve those unexpected issues.

teamviewer screenshot 3

Cross-platform access is of course brilliant when you’re not near your laptop or computer. Simply use the TeamViewer mobile app for iOS, Android or Windows Mobile. Not only can you connect instantly and access files and desktop apps, you can also print files on your home printer – straight from your phone!

Don’t worry, everything will be automatically resized in HD to fit your phone screen. Essentially, TeamViewer creators promise their cross-platform support allows you to connect to any device, from any device. This is cost effective and also gives you 24/7 access and security peace of mind.

User and Device Configuration Management

Of course, you want to make sure that TeamViewer can be tailored to your needs. That’s where user and device configuration management come in!

This feature allows you the ability to configure user and device policies. It gives the primary user complete control over access. You can even enforce session recording to make sure all files are being managed in the correct and most efficient way.

Simply put, you can add the information you need for your daily work to the devices in your Computers & Contacts list. You can then display details such as manufacturer, department, operating system or any other option you choose.

This allows you to centrally configure the most important fields for your company in the Management Console. Your colleagues will then be able to enter their relevant information.

Amazingly, this is just one of the ways you can manage and configure your different users and devices. Further information and tuition is available from TeamViewer’s website, while the usability is top notch too.

TeamViewer 14: Final Thoughts

So, there you have it. TeamViewer 14 promises to provide a new benchmark for remote device access performance and redefine productivity.

This new version boasts even better usability, though reassuringly security remains the top priority. In this review we’ve looked at three core areas that TeamViewer 14 excels in.

However, TeamViewer 14 goes far beyond this. Standout new features are aplenty with this latest release. To find out more about its one-click remote script execution methods, advanced device grouping, enhanced connection quality and new design, visit the TeamViewer website.

Africa arm of Bharti Airtel, which operates across 14 countries, on Wednesday said it has crossed the 100-million customers mark. Airtel Africa claims to be the second-largest mobile operator in Africa in terms of number of active subscribers.

Airtel crosses the 100 million subscribers in Africa to become second largest operator

“Airtel Africa has crossed the 100-million subscriber mark. The positive momentum we have seen in customer acquisition further underpins our medium-term aspirations for revenue and profit growth,” Raghunath Mandava, chief executive officer of Airtel Africa, said in a statement.

The growth in the Africa market mitigates the impact of challenge that the company is facing in India.

From peak customer base of around 381 million in June 2017, subscriber base of Bharti Airtel has now dipped to 324 million in two years.

During the same period, it gained around 20 million new customers in Africa operations.

“Airtel Africa’s footprint is characterised by low but increasing mobile connectivity, with a unique user penetration at 43 per cent, highlighting the potential for growth across its footprint,” the statement said.

The company said a combination of an under-penetrated telecom market, a young addressable population and rising smartphone affordability, along with low data penetration and an underbanked population, will drive the growth opportunities for the data and mobile money segments moving forward in Africa.

“Airtel Africa’s footprint is characterised by low but increasing mobile connectivity, with a unique user penetration at 43 per cent, highlighting the potential for growth across its footprint,” the statement said.

Busy Schedule? Here Are 4 Clever Ways to Keep Your Kids Occupied.

Too busy for the kids? You are not alone.

There are times when you must find ways to keep them occupied. You may work at home in addition to managing the house and family. Or, you may just need some downtime. Parents magazine says, “Each day with young kids feels like a week, each week like a month.”

Children are creative, energetic, and curious. They may have short attention spans or seem demanding. But it’s their way of telling you they need engagement and entertainment. The youngest enjoy activities that bore the older ones. But parents have developed ways to strike a balance.
Here are four clever ways parents keep their kids occupied:

1. Post a schedule: When the children are old enough to pitch in, you might plan a menu of activities. It’s an opportunity to teach them collaboration and negotiation. With the right input, you can even make their chores seem fun. The trick to creating a menu that works is sticking to it.

You post the menu where everyone can see it. That means making several copies, including one for their respective rooms and one on the family computer for computer-savvy kids. And, you should reward them for fulfilling their end of the bargain.

2. Run a reading contest: Any plan should include cognitive growth experiences. You can hold a contest for the most pages read. You might connect it to a summer reading contest at your local library or integrate with their school reading assignments.

You should require reading actual books, but you may also encourage the use of audiobooks. After all, your kids live in a different digital world than you, and they can now stream books that interest them. You should remember any contest is driven by significant prizes, so gold stars won’t work.

3. Play games: There are indoor and outdoor games, and any schedule should drive the children outside. You might schedule outside play with other parents turning play dates into outdoor fun. Outdoor play does require oversight and monitoring, but you will find you need that outdoor break, too.

Indoors, children can play table games, but they can also benefit from controlled time playing PVE (player versus environment) video games pitting their focus and imagination against “monsters” instead of unknown unseen players.

For example, the best Nat 4 Summoners War pits children against creative (and not very scary) animated monsters. This game does away with realistic violence encouraging dexterity and strategic decisions.

4. Structure play: Children’s imaginations hunger for stimulation, so you should feed it. With the right stimulation, you can occupy their interest and grow their minds. Left alone, they will find things to do. But you’re better off setting up their opportunities. Plan a day or part of a day for creative play.

One parent creates a “black box” container with items from which they have to create something. It might be crayons, glue, paper, and scissors, but you could include fabrics, buttons, blocks, and small toys. Another parent assigns children to write stories based on some old family photos or pictures cut from magazines. And, yet another has the kids create a play or puppet show with their stuffed toys.
Enjoy the break!

Today’s Parent notes there “come the moments when you want (or need) to pour yourself a cup of tea or glass of wine and read the newspaper.” While busy children are children at their best, it may take some planning and some monitoring, but you can find clever ways to keep your kids occupied.

Talking about the specs of the device, the Reno 2 comes with a 6.55-inch dynamic AMOLED FHD+ screen and has the same shark-fin pop-up mechanism for the front camera as seen in the previous Reno phones. As mentioned before, the Snapdragon 730G powers the phone and it has a single 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant.

Optics-wise we see a quad-camera setup on the Reno 2 which consists of a 48 MP + 13 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP sensors. The phone also supports 5X Hybrid Zoom and has a 16 MP front-facing camera. The phone is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery.

What we can see from this comparison of specs is that the Reno 2 appears to be fighting a competition which is slightly out of its league.

To its credit, the Reno 2 is the only phone with a quad-camera setup and has a 5X hybrid zoom, although we will need to check the quality of this zoom in the full review. All the competing devices have the Snapdragon 855 chipset powering them while the Reno 2 has got the Snapdragon 730G, which is a notch lower than the mighty Snapdragon 855.

In terms of display, the Reno 2 does have a big bezel-less screen with no notch, but so do the Redmi K20 Pro and Asus 6Z. The Reno 2 also has an AMOLED display which is lacking in the 6Z but is found in the rest of the competitors. The Reno 2 has a 4,000 mAh battery which is equal to the K20 Pro and OnePlus 7, but smaller than the 6Z which has a 5,000 mAh cell.

Is the Oppo Reno 2 a worthy competitor in its price range? We will convincingly answer that in our full review of the Oppo Reno 2.

4 Methods Inbound Marketing Is Affected by Outbound Sales

Inbound marketing deals with attracting new prospects through content development while outbound involves social advertising, cold calling, and email campaigns to connect with prospects.

Seems they are different but when you finish reading the article, you will learn 4 methods inbound marketing is affected by outbound sales.

First of all, the outbound lead generation. For instance, you can achieve marketing objectives through it. Let’s say find emails of influencers and ask for guest-posting that will later help you generate inbound leads. Anyway, go on reading and you will become a pro in this question!

1. Outbound facilitates lead generation and helps determine the perfect customer identity

Inbound marketing is beneficial in driving visitors to your website and finally lead them to interaction with your content that is actually a good thing. Though you still will not know the identity of the prospects.

This is where lead analysis and outreach are very useful. This strategy helps you connect with a targeted audience using a personalized message that will push them further into the sales funnel. Outbound enables you to focus on your ideal prospect.

Performing an evaluation after recognizing your perfect ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) will help you understand the identity of your prospects and target audience which will help you generate the perfect lead’s image.

Launching outbound campaigns will trigger the right enthusiasm for your product and service with the most ideal prospect. You can also carry out a campaign test and notice what and how they react to your messages.

The presence of your business on the market and your inbound marketing campaigns can also be improved through feedback about your product from your prospects.

Tip: Before sending a campaign, don’t forget to use an email hunter to find emails of leads. Such tools are not only quick but also accurate and independent enough. You won’t have to search for emails manually: the email finders work on themselves and you can do something more important at that time.

2. Outbound can boost your website content

Sometimes, marketers don’t remember that the main objective of content development is to drive leads to their website, attract, and convert them into paying clients. The main purpose of putting content in place is to instruct, motivate, improve brand awareness, and convert leads.

It can be challenging to establish relationships via content at first but it comes with the possibility of driving traffic for quite a while once a content strategy is set up. Outbound and outreach campaigns can help quicken the scalability of inbound marketing endeavors and quicken things up.

You can have a competitive advantage by establishing outbound campaigns that can encourage fresh content to potential clients.

You can contact a list of blogs and related websites and inquire if your content can be added in their collection of useful resources. You can also request for backlinks from websites where your brand is mentioned.

3. Outbound can also facilitate lead conversion

Inbound traffic is mostly not targeted. A great part of the web audience is not fascinated by your offers which will result in an extremely high bounce rate with poor website statistics.

Although, ads can also be used to drive traffic to your website. But there is a very low possibility of conversion by limiting your targets to demographics (location or industry).

But outbound majorly deals with focusing on smaller-scale sections and your niche market. Your niche can become loaded through outbound endeavors. Any of your content that triggers interest can be used to majorly retarget prospects that have the intention to purchase your product or service.

You can accomplish this by developing a copied audience since you are already aware of your ICP, you can make necessary modifications and develop better conditions for ads by evaluating your outbound campaigns.

Tip: Always check emails if you intend to connect with your prospects through emails. Valid email addresses guarantee that your emails will successfully reach the targeted audience.

You can also launch an email outreach campaign to inform your potential customers of a new product or service that will be launched very soon. It provides quick results in bringing in new inbound leads. This will enable your prospects to come directly to you.

4. Outbound can facilitate the extent and growth of your online presence

Most brands depend on the impact the social influencers have on prospects and potential customers. Use outbound social promotion to develop new social relationships, establish a LinkedIn profile, and request for fresh leads.

Outbound can also help you develop a relationship with social media influencers and bloggers. You can then request for product or service recommendations or host bonuses that can grow your extent and brand awareness online.

You can also search for the possibilities of guest blogging which you can explore to develop a solid presence in your niche by providing top-notch articles. Assure your prospects that you are a professional in your niche and they can rely on you.

Promote your product and brand through podcasts. You can implement outbound strategies to connect with podcast programs and propose topics in your area of expertise.

Final thoughts

Finally, the two marketing strategies interwove into each other to be even more effective. There must be inbound leads in the sales system. And the marketing system must take full advantage of the outbound targets to focus on the perfect clients.

Develop the identity of the perfect customer and discover the most ideal content that can trigger and convert them into paying clients through outbound strategies.

Work on a sound relationship with your prospects and clients that will help generate feedbacks and responses on challenges and demands facilitated through direct connection with them.

What is more important: increase the feedback and insights during the first stage of the brand or marketing outreach. Instant market feedbacks and critical statistics such as response and open rates can be developed through outbound strategies that will give your business a competitive advantage in the market.

As the need for cleaner energy becomes extremely important to combat climate change, the automobile industry has come with innovative ways for promoting EVs. However, the reach of charging stations for these EVs is still low in many parts of the world. Hyundai and sub-brand Kia have taken a step in finding a solution to this problem.

Hyundai develops new prototype electric scooter with bets on last mile mobility

2019 electric scooter prototype by Hyundai.

The South Korean carmaker has suggested the use of a prototype electric scooter which can be mounted on a vehicle when its not in use so that it can charge via the car’s internal battery. Hyundai and Kia vehicles in the future are reportedly going to come with this scooter. The reason is to facilitate last mile mobility.

As per a report by the livemint the new prototype, which is a lithium-ion battery-powered electric scooter, is different from its initial concept as the company had to transition from a front-wheel-drive to a rear-wheel-drive model.

The electric scooter has an added suspension to the front wheel for smoother ride experience, says the report. The scooter has a 10.5Ah and a range of 20 km on a full charge. It has a top speed of 20kph, weighs around 7.7k and has a unique tri-folding design. For seeing the battery percentage and speed, there is a small display on the handle.

Hyundai has got one EV in the Indian market called as the Hyundai Venue and it is yet to be seen if this new electric scooter would be compatible for the car.

As per the report, McKinsey & Company’s data showed that the ‘Last Mile Mobility’ market in the US, Europe, and China should expand by $500 Billion by 2030.

As per The Guardian, the voice assistant will be called Beeb and it is being developed in-house by the BBC team. The assistant will be launched in 2020 and reportedly BBC has no standalone product in mind which would utilise this assistant like the Echo lineup uses Alexa. The smart assistant will, however, be built inside BBC’s website, its iPlayer app on smart TVs, and also be made available to other manufacturers who want to use the smart assistant.

The report states that the voice assistant will be woken up by saying the word “Beeb” however, it will not be able to replicate many of the tasks that advanced AI such as Alexa and Google Assistant do. This is because the BBC team has reportedly worked with a much smaller team than global tech giants. However, Beeb will try and fulfil its main purpose of understanding the complex British accents.

As per the report, the word Beep was chosen for the AI after it was after comparing it with a lot of potential wake words for the software.
