Xiaomi Launched Mi Band 4 With Coloured OLED Display

Today an event is hosted in China by Xiaomi where the company launched several lifestyle products including the all new Mi Band 4. The Mi Band 4 is smarter, much stylish than predecessors smart bands from Xiaomi and despite all the advancements it comes at a much affordable price. For now, Mi Band 4 has been launched in China for starting price of RMB 169, which roughly translates to Rs 1700. The Mi Band 4 comes in several funky and cool colours.

The Mi Band 4 comes with a rubber band like the Mi Band 3 but includes much bigger and also coloured OLED display. This is for the first time that Xiaomi has used coloured display in a Mi Band. There are slight changes in the Mi Band 4 design when compared to the Mi Band 3 like the charging pins sit on the bottom instead of top.

When talking about fitness features, the Mi Band 4 is a much-upgraded version of the Mi Band 3. The Mi Band 4 comes with a 0.95-inch AMOLED colour touch-enabled screen that offers resolution of 240 x 120p. The screen of the Mi Band 4 is protected with a layer of 2.5D curved glass on top. The screen of the Mi Band 4 is capable of showing several kinds of notifications like SMSes, WhatsApp messages, fitness details, among other things.

The Mi Band 4 also comes with Xiaomi’s own AI voice assistant support and with this the users will be able to control other Xiaomi smart devices including smartphones, air conditioner, Mi smart Led bulb, among other things. With the Mi Band 4 the users will also be able to control music playback of their smartphones.

The new Mi Band 4 comes with heart rate sensor and several tracking features, but this time they are way more improved. It include several fitness features like step counting, sleep monitoring, among other things.

Similar to the Mi Band 3 the Mi Band 4 is also capable of detecting several activities like running, jogging, cycling, among others. It comes packed with an upgraded six-axis sensor which detects different swimming activities such as Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly stroke, and Medley.

The new Mi Band 4 comes with 5ATM rating for water resistance. This means the Mi Band 4 can sustain water droplets but this doesn’t mean the band can survive if dipped in a bucket of water. The Mi Band 4 can also be paired with smartphones via Bluetooth. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Band 4 can deliver 20 days of battery life on a single charge.

Xiaomi has launched NFC version of Mi Band 4 and a non-NFC version of the smart band. The NFC model of the Mi Band lets users make mobile payments. Xiaomi has also launched a special Avengers Edition Mi Band 4 that comes with an Avengers logo on it. As for the pricing the Mi Band 4 has been priced at RMB 169 (translates to Rs 1,700).

The NFC version of the Mi Band 4 is priced at RMB 229 that roughly translates to Rs 2300. The Avengers Edition Mi Band 4 comes at RMB 349 – which translates to Rs 3,500. In China, the Mi Band 4 will go on sale for the first time on June 16.
