Amazon has announced a new Fire TV Stick, along with a new Alexa voice remote in India. The new Fire TV Stick comes with Alexa integration instead of the basic voice control that the current stick has. The new Fire Stick is priced at Rs 3,999 in India, and is available for pre-order on Amazon, and will start shipping on 23 January.
Along with the stick, Amazon has also announced a separate Alexa Voice Control remote, which comes with TV controls and also lets you use commands like ‘Alexa, find comedies’, or ‘Alexa, play Mirzapur.’ The remote is announced at Rs 1,999, however, for a limited period of time, it will be available at half the price, at Rs 999. The pre-order for the remote has also begun and it will start shipping starting 28 January.

As for compatibility, you will be able to pair any Echo device with the new Fire TV Stick to control it hands-free. This means, you can just ask Echo to play and search for movies and TV shows, launch apps and control playback.
Additionally, the new remote can also be paired with TVs, which will let you control volume of the TV with the same remote. It comes with dedicated power, volume, and mute buttons. The new remote is compatible with all Fire TV (Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick) devices available in India. If you have an existing version of the Fire TV, you can still buy this remote separately and use with it.
