Adding two new products to its crowdfunding platform – Mi Crowdfunding – Xiaomi has launched Mi Polarised Wayfarer sunglasses and Mi Polarised Aviator sunglasses in India. While the Wayfarer is priced at Rs 699, the Aviator sunglasses will cost you Rs 899.

These are of course the early bird pricing. This means, currently when you head to the Mi Crowdfunding website, and you pay for either or both of the sunglasses, you will become a supporter for the product. Xiaomi has a goal of 800 units for both the sunglasses, in the next 7 days. At the time of writing the story, Xiaomi had a total of 161 supporters. If Xiaomi meets its goal, it will start shipping these sunglasses to you starts 1 January.

Once the crowdfunding is over, the price of these products will go up, that is, the wayfarer sunglasses will then be priced at Rs 999, and the Aviator glasses will then sell for Rs 1,199.
Yesterday in a tweet, Xiaomi had teased the launch of a product on 15 December. While most fans were hoping to see a VR headset, Xiaomi’s sunglasses also seem to be picking up great response. At the time of writing the story, it was less than an hour ago when Xiaomi announced the sunglasses, and both the products had close to 100, or over 100 supporters.
